William Hughes Mearns (1875-1965)

"Antigonish" (1899)

Yesterday upon the stair
I met a man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away

When I came home last night at three
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall
I couldn’t see him there at all!

Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door

Last night I saw upon the stair
A little man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away

The Art of Life Scene thru the Lense.......

I believe that art is seen in everything that surrounds us. It's in the activities we do, the leisure's we enjoy and the basic elements that we sometimes take for granted.

Growing up I always ran from the person holding the camera, I never wanted to be the subject or part of a collaborative group in a picture. I did however always wonder why the scenery around the subjects never received the attention that the people did.

That's not to say I don't now enjoy being in the occasional photo (Single or collaborative) but since my first camera to my most current model I find that I definitely enjoy taking photo's more. The subjects I find are random and usually by accident, but spontaneity is a great way to react to inspiration.

From candid's of people at a party, dog's at a bar (See the photo's from NoDa-North Carolina, Dog Bar!- Coming Soon!!!) or nature in action- I enjoy trying to capture them all!

I wish to share my photo's, experiences (both good and bad), from travels near and far for leisure and work from fine culinary dining to basic home cooking in hopes that some would enjoy any aspects and be inspired to try new things....
